1. «City gate»

The route through Minsk can be started immediately after arriving in the capital of Belarus. The first thing travelers can see is the «city Gate». So Minsk residents call two houses and the surrounding buildings located on the Forecourt. They are located right in front of the city train station and look like a kind of entrance to the city, and located between them Kirov street is a great place for walking.
On one of the buildings are the largest in Belarus clock, the dial diameter is 3.5 meters. Initially, they were installed on one of the buildings in Germany, but after the great Patriotic war they were brought to Minsk as a trophy.

Near Pishchalausky castle located Minsk city hall, which became one of the symbols of the city. You can get to the town hall by going to the center of Minsk on independence Avenue or on Nemiga street.
During the 16-19 centuries the Minsk city hall was rebuilt several times, and only in the XVIII century it finally acquired a classic look. An interesting fact is that at different times in the town hall housed the court, the archive and even the city theater. Now on the second floor of this attraction of Minsk is the hall of receptions of the Minsk city Executive Committee, and on the first floor – exhibition halls, which often host the main exhibitions of Belarus. In front of the entrance to the building there is a sculptural composition of Vladimir Zhbanov «Governor’s Carriage», made in full size.
3. Trinity suburb

After visiting the Minsk city hall, you can go to the Trinity suburb. To get to the Trinity suburb can be moving along the street Nemiga in the direction of the river Svisloch. Trinity suburb or Trinity mountain – one of the historical areas of the capital of Belarus, on the territory of which there are many attractions in Minsk. Here are the first Catholic Church of the capital, the State Museum of the history of Belarusian literature, the gallery «Slavutyamaystra» and the Museum «Living room of Vladislav Golubka.»
4. Island Of Tears

On the territory of the Trinity Suburb is the Island of Tears – an artificial island connected to the outskirts of the bridge. On the Island there is an icon of the mother Of God and a sculpture of a small angel. On the island there is a chapel, inside which the names of 771 dead soldiers are imprinted on the walls.

After a busy walk through the Trinity suburb, you can go to the restaurant «Kamyanitsa» to relax and eat Belarusian cuisine. To get to the restaurant you can walk down the street Yanka Kupala to Pervomayskaya street.
The interior is decorated in the style of the castle, but there are no heavy forms, so characteristic of the middle Ages. Stained glass Windows, fancy masonry on the walls and panels with the image of the knights ‘ coats of arms – that’s what got «Kamyanitsa» from ancient traditions.
